1 2/3 cup all purpose flour 1 cup sucanat 1/2 cup applesauce 1/3 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1/2 cup water 1/3 cup vegetable oil 1 tsp. vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. ground allspice 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
An oven preheated to 350° an 8x8x2 baking dish a fork
Mix the flour, sucanat, allspice, baking soda, and salt (if used) in the baking dish, using a fork to thoroughly mix the ingredients.
Then mix the remaining ingredients in to create the batter.
Bake 35-40 minutes, or until a knife or toothpick stuck into the center comes out clean.
Approximately 9 servings, 390 calories per serving.
